Like its predecessor, the Smart Air Beds Comfort Top Flocked Raised Air Bed V2 is perfect for overnight guests, travel or camping. It features a soft, flocked top sleep surface that is 21a€? off the ground, so you guests are up and off the floor. In relation to a box spring and mattress (typically about 25a€? off the ground), this bed has great height, particularly for older sleepers who have troubles getting up and down. The product has been expertly engineered with a comfort top design that mimics the feel, support and stability of a regular mattress. The 23 gauge (.60mm) super-thick, water proof flocked top and 14 gauge (.35mm) sides and bottom give this air bed 600 lbs./272 kg. weight capacity. The whole bed has expertly electronically welded seams for long lasting quality. The included handheld powerful ETL listed A/C pump can have the mattress ready from box to bed in about 4 minutes. The bed uses standard king sheets (not included), and the fitted sheet is aided by the flocked topping and a well placed horizontal groove along all sides to limit sheet slippage. When you're ready to pack the item up, simply open the patented Gigavalve to release the air, roll and fold, and store the item neatly in the included storage bag (which is the size of a gym bag) - easy to keep in a linen closet, under a desk (for those of you who take naps at work) or anywhere with limited space. What is the difference between the Original and V2? *The biggest complaint we received regarding the original beds was the design of the coil-like pockets of air that provide the stability and support of the mattress. After many uses, those coils would begin to wear and develop defects. V2 has a new design for the coil, and has been triple welded to alleviate the long term wear issue. *The original design provided a very stiff feel which many customers wanted, however if they had a guest use the bed that wanted something a little softer, it was often a challenge to let out a€ajust the right amount of aira€? V2 features a patented Gigavalve that when opened, has a button mechanism inside that allows the user to let out spurts of air while laying on the mattress. This is extremely convenient, and allows for adjustability. *Another positive about the Gigavalve comes when deflating the bed. Though gravity takes its course when deflating a bed, sometimes youa€ d just like for it to happen faster. When opened completely, the Gigavalve provides a large pass through for trapped air to escape, thus speeding up the deflation process. *Wea€ ve also made V2 an inch higher than the original to help those who have trouble getting in and out of beds.
